Thin section bearings are available as deep groove ball bearings, four-point contact bearings and as angular contact ball bearings. 

718 series and 719 seriea angular contact ball bearings belongs to thin section bearings, because the width of the bearing is too thin.  These thin section ball bearings are usually not offered with shields or seals as standard options. But the angular contact design allows for a wide range of separator options. The standard retainer is fully machined reinforced phenolic or brass cage.

Thin section bearing's Advantages:
