Crusher bearing disassembly method

- Sep 19, 2023-

Crusher is a common equipment in which a key component is the bearing. Bearings are mechanical elements that convert rotary motion into axial motion or axial motion into rotary motion. Due to heavy workload and long time of use, the bearings may be damaged or other problems, at this time need to be disassembled. The following is the disassembly method of crusher bearings.

Step 1: Preparation
Before disassembling, it is necessary to turn off the power supply and system of the crusher. Then, you need to select suitable tools according to the specification and model of the crusher, and prepare the disassembly tools you need to use, such as hammer, wrench, scraper, punch and so on.

Step 2: Disassembly
1. Remove the bearing cover. Secure the upper nut and washer of the bearing with a tube, and then secure the bearing seat with a wire rope. The bearing cover can be easily removed by turning the lower nut slightly with a wrench to loosen the bearing.
2. Remove the outer ring. Use a wire brush to clean the bearing housing to ensure accurate disassembly, otherwise the bearing housing will be damaged. Use the appropriate tool to disassemble the outer ring of the bearing and remove it from the shaft. If the outer ring cannot be removed, the inner ring of the bearing must be removed first. When removing the outer ring, be careful not to twist or distort it.
3. Remove the inner ring. Use appropriate tools to disassemble the inner ring of the bearing. The inner ring must be removed very carefully to avoid damage to the internal gears or other components.

Step 3: Installation
When disassembly is complete, the new bearing must be installed on the crusher. The installation process requires attention to the following points:

1. Clean the parts. Before proceeding with the installation, be sure to clean the bearings and the heel section where the bearings are located. Make sure the flat surfaces are complete and free of damage and debris.
2. Assemble the inner and outer rings. Slide the inner ring onto the shaft and lock it in place, tapping lightly to bring the bearing set into the proper position. Slide the outer ring of the bearing into the housing and lock it in place.
3. Inspect the bearing. Perform a test run after installation. Note that the run time should not be too long.

To summarize
The above is the method of disassembling and assembling the crusher bearing. During operation, be careful and cautious, and do not easily damage the equipment and components. When installing, carefully check that each part is fixed in the correct position. Use the correct tools and methods for disassembly and assembly to ensure long-term stable operation of the machine.
