How to solve bearing raceway noise

- Jun 12, 2023-

Solutions for bearing raceway noise:

1. Adjust preload: Preload refers to the tightness of the bearing at zero load. By increasing the preload, the clearance inside the bearing can be reduced, thus reducing the raceway noise.

2. Replace accessories: If the bearing accessories (such as bearing cover, seat, etc.) are loose or damaged, it will also cause the raceway noise, then you need to replace the corresponding accessories.

3. Replace or refill lubricant: A suitable lubricant will help to reduce friction and wear, and reduce raceway noise.

4. Replace bearings: If bearings are worn or damaged beyond repair, they must be replaced with new ones.

5. Adjust mounting position: Incorrect mounting position of the bearing can also cause raceway noise and the bearing will need to be re-mounted.

6. Bearing clearance: When the bearing is subjected to dynamic loading or running, the bearing raceway may cause some deformation. This deformation is also manifested in the internal rolling process of the bearing can not quickly form a smooth contact phenomenon. At this point, the clearance of the rolling bearing must be changed so that it can be adapted to the light and heavy loads of operation, to ensure that the bearing does not vibrate and short-circuit the phenomenon.

Through the above solutions, the bearing raceway noise can be effectively reduced, making the machine and equipment run more smoothly and quietly.
