The temperature of the double-direction (two-way) thrust ball bearing can generally be inferred from the temperature of the outside of the bearing. It is more appropriate if the oil hole can be used to directly measure the temperature of the outer ring of the bearing. Generally, the temperature of double-direction thrust ball bearings slowly rises as the bearing runs, and reaches a stable state after 1-2 hours. The normal temperature of the bearing varies with the heat capacity, heat dissipation, speed, and load of the machine. If the lubrication and installation parts are proper, the bearing temperature will rise sharply and abnormally high temperature will occur. At this time, the operation must be stopped and necessary precautions must be taken. The thermal sensor can monitor the working temperature of the two-way thrust ball bearing at any time, and automatically alarm or stop when the temperature exceeds the specified value to prevent combustion shaft accidents.
The high temperature often indicates that the bearing is in an abnormal condition. High temperature is also harmful to the lubricant of the bearing. Sometimes bearing overheating can be attributed to the lubricant of the bearing. Long-term continuous rotation of double-direction thrust ball bearings at temperatures exceeding 125°C will reduce bearing life. Causes of high-temperature bearings include insufficient or excessive lubrication, lubricants. Containing impurities, excessive load, bearing ring damage, insufficient clearance, and high friction caused by oil seals, etc.
The operating temperature of the double-direction thrust ball bearing depends on the heat treatment process of the bearing. The tempering temperature of the conventional heat treatment process is 150 degrees. The maximum operating temperature of the bearing is generally required to be within the range of 120 degrees. If there are special requirements for use, 200 Tempering temperature of 250 degrees or higher, at this time the use temperature can reach 170, 230 degrees or higher. Need to check the running state of the machine, in which the two-way thrust ball bearing is the focus of people's attention, and preparing a thorough inspection program has become more and more important. Because it is the most important condition monitoring of all rotating mechanical parts to prevent bearing damage.
But not all machines are equipped with this advanced equipment. In this case, the machine operator or maintenance engineer must insist on the bearing failure signal alarm. During the operation of double-direction thrust ball bearings, sometimes foreign hard particles or hard foreign objects or metal surface wear debris may be squeezed between the bearing surfaces. This will cause furrow-like scratches on the bearing. These hard foreign objects enter through the lubricating medium. Inside the bearing, as the bearing continues to run, local friction generates heat, which can easily cause local deformation of the friction surface and friction micro-welding, and even local melting may occur, eventually causing seizure. The cause of bearing fracture is defect and overload. When the applied load exceeds the material strength limit, the part fracture is called overload fracture. Defects such as overheated structure and local burn will also occur during the operation of the double direction thrust ball bearing, causing defect fracture. Generally, we can use the instrument to check which type of fracture belongs to. In most cases, most of the bearing fracture failures are failures caused by overload.
